Q: How many trips do you schedule a year?
We typically offer 20 to 22 tours per year.

Q: How do we know what to take with us on a trip?
Each trip has a pre-trip party where such topics are covered.

Q: As a single, do you pair me up with someone?
In certain situations we might recommend a pairing (if asked) and then suggest you contact that person directly. The decision is entirely yours.

Q: How often do we stop? Is there a restroom on the bus?
Stops are planned approximately every 2 hours. Passengers are well informed of the next rest stop. The on-board restroom is for emergency use.

Q: Do we do a lot of tipping on a Land Cruise?
No. Typically the bus driver is tipped at the end of the tour. Local step-on guides are tipped according to your discretion. You do not tip for included meals or luggage handling.

Q: Do you fly?
No. Besides, this is Land Cruise!

Q: What is a “mystery trip”?
A mystery trip is when you pay good money without a clue as to where you’re going.

Q: Do I need trip insurance?
On a typical motor coach tour, no. Exceptions to this are 16-20 day tours - or Canadian travel where Medicare may not cover illness costs. We do not sell travel insurance, but you’re welcome to buy it through some other source. If we cancel a trip, your money will be refunded. If you cancel, a full refund will be granted up to 90 days prior to departure. Cancellation within 90 days of departure will be refunded (less the $95 deposit) and any "non- recoverable" items (i.e. accommodations, theater tickets, meals, etc.). If passengers miss the departure at origin, no refunds will be granted.

Q: What if I become ill on the tour?
It happens. We do what needs to be done in seeking medical attention.

Q: How do you handle motion sickness and health issues?
We carry a first-aid kit on board for minor problems. We also have Benadryl and Bonine for motion sickness. Special seating arrangements can be accommodated to help with motion sickness.

Q: If I make a deposit and change my mind do I get my money back?
Yes, if outside of the 90 days of travel. Within 90 days, all recoverable funds (less $95 deposit) are returned even if final payment has been made.

Q: What if I have to cancel?
If, within 90 days of departure you cancel, any recoverable funds (less the $95 deposit) will be returned to you.

Q: What does Wait List mean?
When a tour has deposits for all 52 seats, the tour is Wait Listed. We continue to take names (no deposit) and notify people when space is available. There is no obligation to travel just because your name is on the Wait List. Many wait-listed tours eventually depart with space available!

Q: What trips fill up the fastest?
For some strange reason, the mystery trips.

Q: What if I have diet restrictions (i.e. - sugar-free, gluten-free)?
Accommodations are met whenever possible and within reason.

Q: Is there a way to keep medicine cool?
Yes, there is a cooler under the bus and refrigeration available at most hotels.

Q: Do you have many repeat customers?
Definitely! On any given trip, the vast majority of the passengers have taken previous trips with us. Many customers have made over 25 Land Cruise trips; a few have made more than 60!
