When: September 13-19, 2028
Let’s circle Lake Michigan! This seven-day journey takes us along the beautiful shores of Michigan and Wisconsin, with scenic drives, charming waterfront towns, and plenty of memorable stops. We’ll explore Sleeping Bear Dunes, enjoy a wine tasting on Old Mission Peninsula, and take a ferry to Mackinac Island for a carriage tour and the Grand Hotel’s lavish lunch buffet.
Then it’s across the mighty Mackinac Bridge to discover the beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula before continuing along Wisconsin’s coastline. We’ll tour Door County, visit the famous Al Johnson’s Restaurant (yes, the one with the goats on the roof!), and stop at Berner’s Ice Cream Parlor. We’ll wrap up with a stay at the beautiful Abbey Resort in Lake Geneva and a unique cruise aboard a boat that delivers mail to lakeside homes.
From spectacular scenery and island adventures to local history, delicious food, and fun surprises, this trip is a wonderful way to experience the many sides of Lake Michigan!
