In 2023 this was the Half Mystery/Half Outer Banks Mystery Trip and it was a hit! We can’t get enough of the oceanfront hotels, delicious meals, and naval history. 

For starters, spend two nights at Virginia Beach overlooking the boardwalk, where every room is oceanfront with a balcony. Get familiar with the area and enjoy time at military and aviation museum, dolphin cruise, and see the Naval Base via narrated boat cruise for a view of many of the fleet of destroyers and carriers. 

Arriving to the Outer Banks for 2 nights (also an oceanfront hotel) affords the chance to see lighthouses, wild horses on the beach, and quaint towns.
