Just want to thank all who planned and carried out the trip to the Mississippi River. Everything was perfect! Merrill, Russ, and Keith were great in their jobs to make sure that everyone had a great time as well as a safe time! Not only does one have a good time on your trips, but one always learns things about the area or happenings in that place. Great job to all of you...keep up the good work! Thanks for a delightful four days!

Sharon and I just returned from finishing our 10th trip with you to the Mississippi River and back. We were impressed with how carefully you followed the Coronavirus rules for spacing and masks. In addition, you won the river boat Captains respect who said you were the best tour director he’d met in 30+ years of traveling on the river. You made the trip special! We would travel anywhere with you!

"You haven't seen the Mississippi River until you have cruised the Mississippi on a riverboat! What an amazing educational trip--it's for kids and adults, young and old." "Relaxing trip on the Mississippi River filled with excellent meals-more than you can eat- along with entertainment and river history. Safety is always first during this pandemic and we all felt safe." "For the times we are having the Riverboat Twilight trip was a needed stress reliever. It was peaceful and relaxing. We watched birds and many bald eagles as the boat cruised along. The food was excellent and crew was great. All felt safe and relaxed-lots to learn about the Mississippi and what goes on. We had down home entertainment and help with whatever was needed." "Loved this trip! I loved that the package included bus, boat, hotels and meals. Boat was terrific, the captain's stories and knowledge of the river were terrific. Learned lots! I would do this trip again."

To the Land Cruise Crew, Again you have all gone above and beyond the call of duty ~ so appreciated the prayers, making flight plans for me to return home early for a funeral, and just all your kindness. So many landscapes of "majesty." God made our great big beautiful world and you are providing ways for us to bring it to life. Certainly looking forward to more travels with the "friends forever."

As a first time Land Cruiser, the Great Northwest trip was an unforgettable experience. My fellow travelers were very welcoming and helpful throughout the trip, which made me feel very comfortable traveling as a single. I will always remember the beauty and peacefulness of Glacier National Park, the relaxing cruise to San Juan Islands from Bellingham, WA, and the excitement I felt seeing he Pacific Ocean for the first time (the oceanfront room with a view at Newport, OR was outstanding!). I looked forward to each day as there was so much to see and do, and I have now traveled through 8 states that I had never seen before. Thank you for a truly remarkable Land Cruise!

Merrill is an amazing organizer and an all-around great guy. On our 31st trip with him we had an incident that proves it. After a day's touring my wife discovered that her purse was missing. We hunted for it in the bus and then the resort to no avail. Later that evening I used a smartphone app to locate the purse with her phone inside it. It was 22 miles away from the resort. The next morning after breakfast we told Merrill about our discovery. He said he had come up with the same conclusion. Within 15 minutes he had himself, the bus driver and the bus ready, and arranged for a person to meet us and open the building. Merrill was with us every step of the way. On the way back to the resort, Merrill commented that he realized the importance of a woman's purse. We will be eternally grateful for all he did. On top of all that, Keith and Merrill got us back to the resort before the scheduled activities of the day.

My favorite memories of the Michigan Upper Peninsula tour include... strolling through peaceful woodlands to get the best view of waterfalls, a fascinating tour through the Soo Locks, watching a cloud of fog roll across Lake Superior and finding a real castle... in Michigan! I marvel at Merrill's ability to design a Plan B when Plan A was impossible. As always, meeting gracious, interesting fellow travelers was an added bonus!

We like taking a Land Cruise because you can sit back and leave the driving to someone else. You have more time to just enjoy the scenery and visit with other people. Land Cruise is a wonderful opportunity to meet many new friends and at the same time to see many different and beautiful parts of the United States.

We wanted to say thanks for a great Oregon Trail & Mount Rushmore trip. It seemed like there was such a variety in what we saw. We found a book at Wall Drug, "This Road We Traveled" by Jane Kirkpatrick that told of her group traveling Oregon Trail. It mentioned many sights we talked about and the many decisions that had to be made along the way.

The Oregon Trail trip was well worth the money! It is amazing how much can be packed into 8 days. Well done, Merrill!

I have taken many Land Cruises and although I have enjoyed them all, I believe that this tour to Montreal, Quebec City and the 1000 Islands is my new favorite!

My recent Savannah/Hilton Head trip with Land Cruise was a delight! Wonderful waterfront accommodations, carefully selected restaurants plus all the extras provided...usually complimentary breakfasts, quick lunches, frequent stops and plenty of snacks. Not being the bravest traveler, I was most impressed with our driver, Keith. We toured plantations, took a walking tour, saw beautiful historic homes, and really learned the history of the areas. All that and still plenty of time to shop or walk on the beach. It's not a bus trip, it's a Land Cruise!

Six of us ladies traveled to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard with Land Cruise in 2017 to celebrate a retirement. We had the time of our lives! The best part was visiting the "Faith of our Fathers" monument. On that monument was the name of eighth generation grandfather to Sharla T. Edward Doty came to America on the Mayflower in 1620. We also found his grave market in the Plymouth Rock grave site. The entire bus full was excited for Sharla.

My wife had taken 2 Land Cruises and loved them. I wanted to vacation with her so I decided to give it a try. I loved the Fall Foliage tour in 2017. The bus was comfortable, other passengers were fun to be with and there were plenty of stops for breaks. The accommodations were excellent, food was outstanding and the sightseeing was beautiful. Best of all, we just enjoyed the vacation as everything was pre-arranged. Merrill and Cindi became friends and provided clear guidance and entertainment throughout the trip.

Route 66 was the BEST 16 day trip ever! We loved learning all about the history of Route 66, sightseeing at every stop along the way. Every day was a fun adventure. The ice cream stop in St. Louis was a BONUS!

The highlights of the New Orleans tour were touring the cemetery, participating in the NOLA school of cooking, eating flaming bananas foster at a jazz bistro in the French Quarter. The hotel was lovely and ideally located. 1st class travel with Land Cruise, as usual!

Land Cruise was the perfect way for us to experience New York City on our family vacation. Treasured memories were created this week.

Just returned from the NYC trip, the whole experience was first class. Did not spend a fortune as I expected, Merrill knows the ins and outs of the city. For those of you who are apprehensive about the city don't be, if you need information the locals are very accommodating. Thanks to the crew of Land Cruise for a great trip!

Land Cruise is the best travel. Every thing is done for you. Comfortable, relaxing, great places to see. Wonderful not the same old places to stay, always something new and interesting. They take care of you like royalty. Join the family!! We are on our way to many new places. Love the scenery and people we meet. Can't wait for our next mystery trip. The bus is comfy and you even get a pillow. Check it out!!

We enjoyed the whole trip to NYC in December. We really kept busy and saw a lot for the time we were there. The bus was clean and comfortable and we would definitely go back again.

My mother and I traveled to NYC to celebrate our Christmas... this was an amazing experience! We were able to have time on our own, have tours lead by Merrill, and got to experience all of the big things that happen in the City at Christmas... the hotel was great- located in Times Square - was perfectly located near all the main attractions. Keith- our extraordinary driver navigated with ease through the most congested traffic I’ve ever seen. Altogether this made our Christmas one we will never forget! Thank you for all the hours you put in to planning, organizing, and basically mastering every detail on this trip. It was noticed, appreciated, and enjoyed!!

The Almost Clueless Mystery Trip For this avid photographer the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania and the surrounding area was an amazing trip. The resort itself was an art lover’s paradise. Inside the buildings and outside the vast complex were dozens of sculpture pieces in bronze, marble, glass, ivory and jade. Many of them were sitting out in the open in the hallways of the connected buildings. There were paintings, including originals by Norman Rockwell, plus numerous Tiffany lamps, stained glass panels, Hermes silk scarves, and an impressive seashell collection. In several cases the art pieces recounted the history of the area and the country, including Native Americans like Chief Nemacolin. Besides the architecture and beauty of the resort, we were treated to tours of two Frank Lloyd Wright homes: Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. For nature lovers there was the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside and the Ohiopyle Falls. If that wasn’t enough, there were the beautiful rooms we stayed in and the fine cuisine with synchronized servers. Thank you, Merrill!!! Fred & Kay J.

The NYC Showtime tour is a wonderful trip... great shows, even a chance to learn a Broadway dance number, and my personal favorite, Merrill's morning walks. NYC in May! what's not to love.

We have taken eight trips with Land Cruise and have two more scheduled in 2016. Land Cruise is truly a five star way to travel the U.S.A. Great food, lodging, fellowship, with each day being a memorable experience. We are looking forward to the next trip.

New Brunswick, Prince Edwards Island and Nova Scotia Canada was one of our favorite bus-trips. Great scenery and beautiful ocean views and cities to explore. Thanks, Land Cruise for an interesting and fun trip.

I have traveled with Land Cruise numerous times and have never been disappointed. Merrill has always been very organized and he manages to find top-notch local guides who are very knowledgeable as well as fun-loving and they give us inside secrets and experiences that make the trip very entertaining.

A big thanks to Land Cruise Tours. We got to enjoy the sights, food, beauty, and culture of our favorite city New Orleans.

We have done fifteen trips with Land Cruise and have enjoyed all of them. I love not doing the driving, especially in big cities. Also we love having the trip planned for us, I know we see things, do things, and eat things that we could not find on our own. We hope to take many more Land Cruises.

A great way to see Washington DC! So much in a short time--from Arlington, many beautiful and impressive memorials (by day and night), the Smithsonian, worshiping at the Washington National Cathedral, to dinner at the historic Old Ebbitt Grill and much more. Thanks to the excellent planning of Merrill and Cindi, we did it all!

Mystery trips are the best. Every detail from beginning to end is well taken care of by Merrill. My favorite trip was the Mont-Tremblant, Canada. I had two surprises on this mystery trip; one was the destination and the other was the Ironman 70.3 triathlon.

My first trip with Land Cruise, Inc. was in 2002 as we toured the northeast in the fall, enjoying the beautiful colors. It was very clear that we were with people who cared for us and our experiences. Since that time, I have been on 25 trips and have planned two trips for the balance of 2015 and three, possibly four, in 2016. A folder for each person gives complete and SAME information about the trip prior to departure. This includes dates, times, locations, cost, seating arrangements (which are changed daily to insure equal viewing and seating), passenger manifest, and emergency telephone numbers.

My wife and I have always made our own plans for vacation trips in the past. Six years ago we heard of "Land Cruise". We decided to at least give it a try. The trip "Christmas in New York City" was well planned and very enjoyable. Since then we have made a total of 11 additional trips, never been disappointed. All our trips were well planned, visiting interesting cites, accommodations were great (in some cases "Classy") along with some fine dining. Some of our favorite places have included sea side hotel rooms in Cape Cod and Hilton Head. We plan on making a second trip to each. New Orleans is something else to see and experience. For American History, Washington DC is outstanding, especially the Korean War Memorial. Bottom line, Land Cruise is a classy operation, I would rate as 4 stars.

Just a note to thank you for a spectacular Land Cruise to the Big Apple. We would be hard pressed to have a better time or a better Cruise Director!

Trusting our Land Cruise host and hostess, we have ventured on two Land Cruise mystery trips so far. These both included local "hop on" tour guides who were very qualified in giving interesting commentary on the areas. One trip was to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, including a boat ride out on Lake Superior to view the Painted Rocks, often pictured on calendar scenic shots, and dinner boat rides through the Sioux Locks. The other trip was to the end of Long Island, NY.

"Start spreadin' the news, I'm leavin' today. I want to be a part of it, New York, New York." The opening stanza in the old Sinatra classic says it all! From beginning to end the Land Cruise trip to New York City is stock full of unforgettable moments and amazing sights. The haunting 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial erected to memorialize so many New Yorkers who lost their lives on a day that started in such an ordinary way and ended in utter tragedy... the mass of humanity on Broadway and Times Square taking in its famed shows and news broadcasts... lush Central Park with its wonderfully maintained gardens... the unique restaurants and shops in Little Italy and Chinatown... perhaps the most recognized icon in this great land of ours, the Statue of Liberty standing in eternal welcome on Liberty Island in New York Harbor to offer freedom and respite to "your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"... the New York City trip offers an up close view of an unforgettable city. With all these amazing sites my personal favorite was the view from the catwalk surrounding the top of the Empire State Building. It is simply out of this world! At night the myriad lines of color stretch for miles each direction. Visit famed Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, so lovingly restored to its original splendor, the venerable environs o St. Patrick's Cathedral, Wall street with its famed raging bull. Enjoy the walking tours to experience the sights and sounds of daily Manhattan. This Land Cruise trip offers so many unforgettable moments you will want to return time and time again.

Mystery trips are so much fun!! We are given departure and return dates and times but the balance is left to our imagination. The last trip was to Pigeon Forge, TN a four day trip. During this time we were at The Inn at Christmas Place and enjoyed wonderful variety shows, dinner on board TITANIC, a tour of the mountains and free shopping time with a special stop in Columbus, IN on the trip home.

Mohonk Mountain House is a scenic, historic hotel set in the peaceful surroundings of God's creation. The meals at the hotel were beautiful, as well as delicious - and rich!! There were numerous outdoor activities to choose from, as well as a large indoor, heated pool. In addition to the hotel, we visited the F.D. Roosevelt home in Hyde Park, and had a tour of the Culinary Institute of America, where we stopped for lunch, prepared and served by the student-chefs.

Land Cruise really means, "This is travel." My awesome New Hampshire/Maine trip included three perfect days in the White Mountains followed by three even better days on the Atlantic Ocean. Ogunquit and the Marginal Way created lasting memories. As always, every detail was handled for us... delicious meals, outstanding tours (lobstering!), and plenty of time to simply relax. I can't wait for my next Land Cruise!

The Phillips are adept at planning every detail of each trip. The travelers are made to feel special, and our hosts go extra distances to see that special needs or simple hopes or desires are met if at all possible. The included meals are always fantastic, the trips are well-planned, and the company is enjoyable.

With my husband's major career having been the military, we appreciated the opportunity of a trip focused on the military monuments. The Land Cruise trip included not only daytime views, but also nighttime view of many of the monuments. In the 4-day trip over a weekend, the traffic was minimal, and the trip also permitted a selective stop at the Smithsonian Institute.
Cheryl L
-
To a career veteran seeing the D.C historical monuments both in daytime and at night added much appreciation of the patriots from our nation's founding up through the latest 21st century world conflicts. The visit to Arlington National Cemetery and the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown were very moving.

We have been to New York City twice. LOVED both trips. The recent trip to NYC Showtime was fabulous as we got to see 3 Broadway shows (2 were included in the trip). Great fun. Merrill and Keith (bus driver) both did an excellent job. Can't wait for the next adventure.

This 16-day bus tour was our first Land Cruise trip!! it included so many of the historic Route 66 sites with the bonuses of seeing the Southern Rim of the Grand Canyon -- an awesome evidence of the power of the Creator -- and a stop at Yosemite National Park to see the towering redwood trees. This trip was packed full of enjoyable stops.

Mystery Trip 2013... Hershey PA., stayed at the Hershey Hotel--what class! Guided tour of Chocolate World & Founders Hall & city. Gardens were beautiful. Off to Lancaster County to the Sight & Sound Theater to see the production of "Noah". Merrill can really come up with something out of the ordinary and with perfection.

I have traveled with Land Cruise on over 30 trips since 2004. I was "hooked" by the end of my first trip! Such fun! There are always wonderful fellow passengers, great local guides at our destinations, and Merrill takes care of all the details. I just show up, sit back, and enjoy.

We have taken 10 trips with Land Cruise. We have found them 1st class to say the least. We were on our 11th trip to Canada. On our 3rd day out, we got a call from home that Jan's son suffered a bad heart attack. Merrill and Cindi took time and helped us get flights back home. We can't say enough about Land Cruise. They are number one in our eyes. Great places, great places to stay, great things to see. We hope to take many more trips with Land Cruise.

When I first heard about Land Cruises’ Mystery Trips from my mom 5 years ago, I thought there is no way I would pay that much money and not know where I’m going! But after going on 4 known-destination vacations with Land Cruise, I changed my mind. Two of those trips’ itineraries & destinations didn’t sound very interesting to me, but spending time with my mom was and they were what fit into my work schedule. On every single one of the 4 trips I had such a wonderful, educational, fun experience, that I realized it didn’t matter where we went, as long as Land Cruise was leading the way, I would have a good time! So I signed up for the Brighter Days Mystery Trip in 2023 and was NOT disappointed! Not knowing where we were going was more than half the fun! I would recommend a mystery trip to anyone that likes fun, food, and laughter!
