Don’t miss the BIG Give for Asheville

Thursday, November 14th, is the last chance to contribute to the BIG Give for Asheville. If you would still like to be part of this, stop by the Port of Fort Wayne (3926 West Jefferson Blvd. 46804) from Noon-2pm to drop off a Christmas card with cash or a gift card (Walmart, Amazon or pre-paid VISA preferred) enclosed.

*Thank you to all who have already donated to the BIG Give for Asheville!*

The BIG Give: Spreading Joy and Blessings in Asheville!

One of our tours will depart soon for Christmas at the Biltmore Estate + Chihuly Glass Exhibit. Great progress has been made in the recovery process, but it will take years for Asheville to fully recover from Hurricane Helene.

In a conversation with one of the Biltmore staff members, a moment of raw honesty was shared and I was told, “We cannot wait for your group to come. In all honesty, we’re all a bit weary. We’ve been in this fight for a few weeks now and we just want to get back to normal. Having guests here, and the joy that that brings, is exactly what we need.”

The group going to the Biltmore and Asheville is being tasked with sharing joy and blessings with all whom they come in contact with and it would be an honor for you to join us in this endeavor.

Would you please consider purchasing a Christmas card and enclosing cash or a gift card (Amazon, Walmart, or pre-paid Visa gift card) with a note of hope and then seal the envelope? Our Biltmore travelers will be our ambassadors and will have the option and privilege to distribute these sealed envelopes to anyone with whom they come in contact with at the Biltmore or in Asheville. For example, they might buy lunch or a cup of coffee and then say, “Some friends in Indiana gave this to me to give to you. If you don’t need it, I bet you know someone who does. We’re rooting for you!”

After all the residents of Asheville have been through, can you dream what an encouragement this would be for someone to receive a note of hope and a surprise gift of generosity from pure strangers?

Many thank-you's in advance for giving this consideration!
